There are so many places to go with this game and we do want feedback on what features people would like to see. I've already discussed the points made here with some of the team. I will however be taking notes and quite probably copy / pasting a lot of constructive critisism and forwarding it to the relevant people (if they aren't me). I just posted here to get the word out a little further. Something I should make clear is that this subreddit is run by fans, this isn't where True Axis come to chat about stuff, I'm probably the only one who comes here and I do it for myself and you guys rather than in an official capacity. We certainly are passionate about skating and you are correct that skating games aren't as mainstream as things like soccer, NFL, basketball which I expect is why a new skate game hasn't been done yet.īut sajhe's points are fair, those things aren't explained well so anybody who may be on the fence is probably going to lean back to the safe side until they get to see the final product and make a decision, which is sensible. If you don't think it's for you that's fine too :) Either way I appreciate the feedback as they are obviously points we need to make sure we communicate well so people can make informed decisions. It isn't pre-animated stuff triggered by a button press and it's going to take some work but we are fully aware of it and confident we can get it bang on, it is a work in progress which is why we are running the Kickstarter. We've learned a lot from what we have done so far and are excited about putting in the work to produce a natural looking animation system" Although we already have a working animation system, skateboarding is highly technical, and a keen eye will be quick to notice that it is still a work in progress. "our first priority should we meet our goal, is to get the character animation system looking as realistic as possible. On the animation, this is straight from the Kickstarter. We're gamers too, have been our whole lives so we are aware of that. The platforms are different and the same kind of game is neither expected or really makes sense. I won't go into too much detail right here and now as I would like to check what other official announcements might happen before I go handing out new info.īut try not to think of it as a direct port of the mobile game.

They are valid doubts, and things I hope are addressed with some upcoming information. Perfectly size your deck and grip graphics with this template. The one downside to this is that you can see less of what's in front of you compared to other camera angles.

This camera angle also has the added benefit of being angled downward, making nollie tricks much easier to pull off (You have slightly more time to effectively swipe the back foot before the board becomes parallel with your view, making flip tricks almost impossible.). On my iPhone 5, I find that using the 5th, most zoomed in camera angle gives me more board surface area, resulting in more accurate swipes.
